Our Approach

The Law Office of Matthew P. Flores represents banks, private lenders, borrowers, investors, and businesses in commercial lending and financing transactions throughout Florida. Our experience in both real estate and business law allows us to approach financing transactions with an understanding of the underlying deal, the collateral, and the practical considerations involved in closing a loan.

A significant part of our finance practice involves representing lenders in real estate-secured transactions. We work with lenders from the initial term sheet and due diligence process through preparation and negotiation of loan documents, closing, and post-closing matters. Because real estate is a core part of our practice, we are able to handle the financing and underlying real estate issues together, providing lenders and borrowers with a more efficient and practical approach to the transaction. Our goal is to protect the lender’s interests while keeping the transaction moving efficiently toward closing.

I discovered someone was attempting to fraudulently list our Lee County property for sale and needed prompt and efficient legal assistance for an unusual situation that is apparently happening more and more in these days of rampant identity theft.  Matt was referred to me and when I called and spoke to him, Matt had an immediate grasp of the situation and quickly helped us.  Matt and his associate Natalia were fantastic "thinking outside the box" in order to to protect us.  They prepared and filed a document with the Court which would serve as a red-flag to any innocent closing attorney that may be hired to close a sale on behalf of the fraudster at some point in the future.
